Home Remedies For Indigestion

Ripe bananas are natural antacids and can soothe an inflamed stomach. If none is available, try cider vinegar or lemon juice in hot water, which alkalises an acid stomach.

Take one glass of honey and lemon juice, both mixed in equal quantity. For instant relief add some baking soda to one glass of water and drink it.

Ginger tea, made from fresh ginger root if possible, also warms and soothes an acid stomach. Drink an infusion of hot peppermint tea or try teas such as fennel, lemon balm or cinnamon. Slippery elm powder dissolved in hot water gives immedicate relief.

Take 2-3 drops of garlic oil or ½ cup of Soya oil and gently massage your tummy.

Mix two tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda with one teaspoon of ground ginger in cold water and drink before sitting down to breakfast to prevent indigestion.

Peppermint is a good for indigestion. Those who are prone to heartburn may try peppermint tea. It will help indigestion with out causing heartburn.

A teaspoon of yellow mustard, the active ingredientis the tumeric coloring.
